We had a pretty hard winter here in Confluence this year. Of course, it isn’t over yet as we normally get snow in March and sometimes in April. Here is the valley we had 118 inches of snowfall; 80 of it in February.

The snow was so deep that we had to shovel the roof of the shop.

But, with a week or more of above freezing temperatures, most of the snow is gone in town. With all the snow melt we did have a scare about flooding. The levee protected the town, but the several of the roads into town were flooded and parts of the bike trail were flooded.
As of today, there is still snow on the bike trail in places, so it will be a while before we can get out and get some miles in. We are very ready for spring and the signs are all around. There were Robins in town today and the crocus are poking up through the ground. We are looking forward to a great summer season…..whenever it gets here.
